You have to install an older version of Blender, and then export your model from modern blender to a file readable to old blender, and then export that as a DTS file and hope it works. You're not port forwarding to communicate with the master server, you're port forwarding so other random people on the internet can connect to your server over UDP. There is this achievement from another game called Starbound where you have to kill someone in multiplayer and there was a similar problem in finding people, But I found out that you can run the game through steam, then go into the local files and launch the game again and join the same server on both instances and get the achievement by yourself.
